First project. Need to adjust something trunk no longer closes after swapping in the new bump stops. Turning the top ones 180 seemed to work.

The tunk bumpers are adjustable, you'll need to fiddle with the adjustment. I think it's the ones on the bottom / body side that will move up & down in slotted holes. The ribbed section of the upper bumpers should point downward and contact the lower.

Looking good!

Neither seemed to move. I'll have to check them again. For now the slotted side pointed upwards -the wrong way - lets me shut the trunk.

Nevermind you're right of course @gsxr :). All fixed now.

The label states glove box handle. I assume that is the trunk lift. I didn't know it was still available. This handle cracked on my garage queen for no apparent reason. I have a used spare but would like to order a new one. Do you mind letting us know what you paid?

Dave is correct. The lower body stops have the slots.

Finished up the battery box. Didn't want to put a hole through my factory grommet.

The fuel filter change didn't go as well. Installed it backwards after switching the fitting to the other/wrong side of the filter started the car leaked all over the place. Installed it the right way and overtorqued and broke/cracked the filter. Had to re-install the original one temporarily to stop any leak. Now I have to order a new filter- thinking about doing the pumps and all the hoses while I'm in there.

Its okay! We've all been there. You'll figure it out, install a new one, and you'll never repeat the same mistake in the future!

Need to figure out how to install this trim piece.
Remove the trunk liner and you will see how that piece is bolted in from the rear. Ignore my zip ties - I was temporarily holding wires in place while installing a backup camera.

Hi folks! Anyone have the part number for the hollow bolt that threads into the fuel filter on the output end. I've searched an could not find it in any of the parts maps. @gsxr need help as usual :) Thanks in advance.

I'm having a difficult time chasing down a small fuel leak. Can someone confirm which is the correct part number for the copper washers on the fuel filter and banjo line - 007603-012405 or 007603-012102. The latter was the part number referenced from the DIY on this board for fuel filter replacement -which is what i used, however when I look that up it seems to be for the transmission instead.

I think both of those numbers are incorrect. For the fuel pump package copper O-rings, I use 007603-012110. These have a larger OD than the numbers mentioned above. Apply a thin smear of the MB neon-green wheel bearing grease to the O-rings when installing.

Success! Wow what an ordeal. But fixed now. Thanks to @gsxr for the washer tip. Luckily I bought a few from the dealer yesterday just in case. I think the issue was in my rush I overtorqued the 1st filter exacerbated by forgetting one washer- causing material damage to the banjo fitting. After filing, sanding, washer size change and distributor grease (I didn't have the green stuff), looks like its not weeping anymore. Car started up after a few tries - fingers crossed she stays dry.

Drove the car to work today let my coworker try her out at lunch. Leak seems fixed. When I first took delivery a week or so ago I did notice a fuel odor. So maybe it has always had this issue. I also found and am corresponding with one of the previous owner who has an interesting name and fitting Instagram handle for where he told me I could find many pictures of my new baby.
