My man came through. Toyed with fancy body shops, or buying a set of body parts but in the end went with my good ole mobile body guy. I'm pretty happy.
I'll take pics later. The rear bumper was in sorry shape after my neighbor my best guess hit it with the trash can and broke off the left bracket plus the rear tab had already been missing. I was driving to work with the bumper left side held up with packing taped. And the other big win was the front left fender - Sauceman said the wheel came off at a shop and they just hurriedly bent the fender back and called it a day - I was even thinking of reshaping it back my self but my body man was able to get the shape back for the most part. I was ready to shell big $$ for parts. Pretty pleased for the price less than a rear bumper I got most of the issues addressed.
I have always said this, when someone claims (typically a flipper-dealer) that they are selling or own the lowest mileage E500E in the world, that there is ALWAYS a car out there with fewer miles.
And I fully 100% believe there is a car out there with mere delivery miles on it, even much lower than this 200-mile example.
I would love to see it if this 200-mile car ever went up for sale on BaHaT, though. The odometer buyers would be knifing each other in the back to get at it.
Oh yea rats. It was a 92 I believe because I brought our intern along and rode over in Mr Grey which is another 92 and I was joking he got to ride in the trashy version of what we were looking at.
Family event is forcing my hand in selling some of my toys. Sadly I'll be putting Mr. Grey up for sale. He'll come with some neat parts I've accumulated and saved - a set of brand new Euro lights, a perfect 500E badge.
I know. But I'm happy to have brought him back to this state regardless. By the way anyone by chance interested in trading their USA headlights for the normal Euro pair on Mr. Grey?
