I was looking for my data card and came across this Porsche sticker that I found under the seat when I first purchased the car. Does anyone know what this was affixed to? Sorry for the poor picture quality. It's very faded.

That is really rare and indicative that your car is very very special. Worthy of a Porsche/E500 keychain or license plate frame. Or as some have done, Porsche badges on the fenders or in place of the MB star on the hood.

Better yet I'll take a data card. I'll PM with VIN.

The part number shown is 124-690-58-30, indicating the sticker belongs on the trunk carpet / liner on the passenger side, above the battery. This was an 036-unique item. Note the part number format on the decal is in Porsche format (xxx.xxx.xxx.x) instead of the usual MB format (xxx-xxx-xx-xx).

Yes it is/was.

PS: Consider yourself fortunate if you have a 500E. Those cars were assembled by/at Porsche & come with the sticker. As stated in popular trade periodicals, the MY94 wasn't. This controversial dichotomy has been a topic of previous deep-dive Board discussion.

Some MY94 owners, seeking inclusion, have gone to great measure to obtain or create & add these rare/elusive stickers to their E500 cars.

I noticed the E50 designation in the middle of the sticker. Watch out Taxi Driver will be wanting it.

How do you know when production stopped at the Porsche factory? Not sure if I'm missing a joke or something.

I have actually been considering making reproductions of the key "Porsche" stickers for discerning owners who want to demonstrate to the world that THEIR E500E is (unequivocally) a Porsche-made car.

Is there interest among folks here in buying sets of said stickers? Particularly among us E500 owners?

Pretty sure all mine have the sticker. If it's missing, you may have one of the rare E500E's that rolled out of the Volkswagen factory, when Porsche was behind schedule and needed to catch up...

Gerry, I would actually be interested in buying a sticker, perhaps six of them.

Look at the unfortunate condition of mine!

How could I possibly prove that my MY95 Limited was assembled in the Porsche factory with a sticker like this?

Or perhaps all the MY94/95 Limited models came out of the VW factory with a blurry sticker?

Hoo boy...you certainly have a problem there.

On the sticker recreation, I know, I know. It’s a manhood proving thing. I get it.

I’ll see what I can do to get this going.
