Hi, I am having a nightmare with my power steering pump. when the car landed from u.s it went straight into workshop to be checked over as recommended by your kind selves. the pump was leaking so we strip pump and fitted new seals. that stopped the leak but its making a terrible noise, stripped again to make sure its gone back together ok, and he noticed that some off the 10 paddles are slight worn also one off the pistons is stuck in? and he thinks thats the problem. any one have any idea to find a recon 1 or good priced compatible . car is now ready for painting once sorted out this problem. thanks

POWER STEERING PUMP

Try emailing Carl - carl@r129.co they may have a used m119 tandem pump in stock. Make sure & mention your car is a 500E obviously – some m119 pumps are power steering only. You need SLS + Power Steering. I would recommended rebuilding a used pump with only Genuine MB seals before installing. I ultrasonically cleaned mine, rebuilt & re-installed & it’s been perfect ever since. Dry & quiet.
Maybe someone else should re-build the pump this time around! If Carl does not have one then finding one in the UK will be tough. Keep an eye out on the listings here for people parting out 500E’s. Most used parts for my 500E have either came from 500E members in USA or Germany.

Bit puzzled on this one ....... didn't a member report back in March that it was on eBay? Maybe it didn't sell, esp as Eddie007 queried about the power steering pump in June. But now JC220 seems to have spotted it back on eBay again!?
