Was at my friends shop the other day and he gave me the most challenging task to rebadge his 036 after coming back from the paint shop. This while he was working on my ML with some electrical glitches. Needles to say car and I arrived on a tow truck

Anyway, got the measurements per FSM, lined it with masking tape , checked level and placed it. BUT something is bugging me :-? that don't seem quite right. Can anyone pin point what it is ?? Badge part number as per below from stealers.

Do you have the placement scheme for the badge ?

I used to have that placement scheme so there is all measurements between letters and all distances with the respect to trunk lid angels.

In particular, distance between E and 500 looks little bit weird so I would check with that document and see if we are right .

Cant find for E500 , but it is the same idea like for an AMG (attached below)

IMHO it would look "proper" if there was a bit more space between the "E" and "500".

Exactomundo, Dean! I don't understand why it came this way in the packet (see photo 1, that's exactly how it's placed with backing paper) , whereas others such as this "E 320" have space: Weird ! 14.jpg

It looks a tiny bit low, about 1/8" (3mm) or so.

Measured based on this :

That's what I also would like to confirm.

Thank god I debadged my whip...cause I would loose sleep trying to get the placement and spacing just right. I don't envy you badged owners.

:wormhole:

I think this is for 300E 500E and so on , meaning the whole piece emblem cuz there is no measurement on the right side of the emblem meaning if it is whole piece you need just two coordinates to install it . When with the E500 you should have another third coordinate to know how far last zero should be glued . After that you will just need to know inside coordinates (distances) between E, 5 , 0, and 0.

A think it does not matter how it was placed on the paper in the package cuz when I got an OE AMG badge it was not in proper distances in a package (all pieces were pretty close together).
