Anybody work with West Coast AMG recently?

Following.....I reached out to this fellow about some SEC Euro lamps and corners a few weeks ago. We corresponded via FB where he had posted them and he's since deleted his account.
  • He refused PayPal as his account was locked and wanted to do Paypal via FB Pay ('Meta Pay', eugh) which I believe offered the same PayPal protections but couldn't confirm.
  • He also had originally shared photos of his parts that were taken from an eBay auction (not his)
  • He shared his drivers license photo
  • He couldn't post more photos of his parts as they were at 'his exes' place and he didn't want to get them until sold
  • He's like 3 hours from where I live. I head to his neck of the woods every now and then and he wasn't super interested in this
Way too many red flags for me so I walked. I had found people on FB who had successfully worked w him but they said they had used PayPal.

New to the mercedes world but I'm like 95% sure the same guy popped up on ebay again. Bought a set of R129 sport tow hook covers from his new eBay account (shipped from Merced CA). Found a couple of older posts on the Facebook R129 group with their products from an account also from Merced. Probably same dude. eBay account only had 3 feedback, with one negative about not shipping a product/cancelling.

Rolled the dice and bought them- surprisingly got a tracking number (which was replaced when the post office rejected the package at first) and received the tow hook covers today. His eBay account was closed a couple days ago so I'm genuinely surprised I didn't get scammed.

Dunno if they're old stock but they're good quality. You'd think they'd want a permanent page, finding niche parts for these older cars is a PITA.
Just posting this for any internet sleuths that might come across this in the future.
