Don't forget that "model years" do no exist outside of North America and Japan.

A German-delivered car in in December 1996 is typically considered a 1996 model (but would be 1997 model year in USA or Japan).

The 210.072 chassis was only in product through approximately summer 1997. @WDB748372 would know for sure the first and last production month/years.

The E50 was produced from january 1996 to August 1997

The first E50 is WDB2100721A008715 from 8/95 and last being WDB2100721A475299 from 7/97
Interesting..Where is this information coming from?And what type of car was this..... This has to be one of crazy few in 1995..also pre production cars?
This one does have a strange datacard though.It also has a SA kode for special test vehicle..

@gsxr classic.com has only 1996 and 1997 models in existence for w210 E50 AMG.
Yeah, most internet sites have limited data available. Even the MB Museum / Classic Center has wrong information as seen here. The info above is extracted directly from datacards. I suspect there may be other late-1995 production E50's as well. Note that the production date could be prior to the introduction/delivery dates. If the first deliveries were in Jan-1996, those cars would have been built in 1995.

I'm looking directly at the 2,970 E50 VINs. Likely the first car (or few?) isn't one made for a customer. Not sure where those end up. The first 5 E50s were built in 1995.

That website just scrapes vehicles for sale so I wouldn't consider it to be a source of information. In theory, if there was never a 1996 E50 for sale which Classic.com wouldn't end up scraping then that doesn't mean E50s were only made in 1997. Similarly, Classic.com doesn't have any E60 wagons but those exist. Pretty nice site otherwise.

Back on the topic of cleaning though

Not that it matters but good well maintained reasonable mileage E50 AMG's have jumped up in value this year by 15% to 18%.
I am actually surprised by the demand.
