Can someone recommend something really good?

I am cleaning 90s mercedes seats. 98 c43 amg....not sure what type of material this is to be honest.

I know that glossy shiny leather means dirty leather and I hate that look. I want the factory matte look on my seats and interior.

Any help is appreciated. Pic of seats below.

That should be leather. Griots has excellent products for cleaning and treating leather. Leatherique has good products as well. I start with a mild soap such as Murphys oil soap and water.

I bought my polisher from griots so Ill check them out.

I heard about Leatherique. Can you share a link?

Dodo Juice Supernatural Leather cleaner is the best out there and I've tried them all!!

Conditioning products are all similar in my findings- currently using Autoglym leather balm and appears to be good.

Looks like this is the source in USA:

FWIW if you have a few cars then they also sell this in 5L bottles.

I go through quite alot of the stuff! I keep the small spray bottle and fill it up using the 5L bottle.

Basically- this is what I do

Get a bucket of hot water and change often

Get a small leather cleaning brush and dunk in the hot water.

Then spritz down a panel at a time with the cleaner and quickly agitate with the soft brush to work into a foam on the panel you are working on. (Dont leave any streaks of the neat cleaner on there)

Then take the microfibre cloth, rinse in the hot water and wipe off the solution. Repeat until all product removed. Leather has a nice factory sheen to it and not sticky layer of crap. Nice and clean / smooth to the touch and I'm certain it also helps soften aged leather.

It really, really is a fantastic product trust me. My S600 leather seats were unloved and I got to use the Dodo juice on them a few days back. Came up amazing! Couldn't believe the filth of the cream leather until I did the first panel.

My personal preference has always been Lexol.

My go to has always been Lexol, but for cars I’ll use Griot’s or McGuiars as well. I do it twice annually so at that rate, it’s less important what I use, I suppose.

Agree using a mild soap and warm water. No matter what you use, if you "scrub" roughly you are going to remove dye with your dirt. Take your time and rely on the methodical process. Leatherique rejuvenator is a good product but you need hot temps, humidity and time. Rinse and repeat for sure as the process to restore is time-expensive with a side order of patience and expectations.

I might add my dodo experience was that it cleans too well for my liking. Be very careful with it as it works very quickly on whatever it touches.

edited for phone spelling errors
