REFERENCE THREAD "NEED HELP IDENTIFYING THESE WHEELS"

I'm very confused. When I look at the summary of "What's new", it correctly tells me that I posted a thread about 1 hour ago (this was in response to a question from GSXR of approx the same time).

However, when I look up the actual thread, I can't see either GSXR's question, or my response - beyond a post I made much earlier today when I submitted some pics of my wheels).

Am I doing something wrong?

Likely a browser caching issue on your end. Hit the refresh arrow while holding down the SHIFT key on your computer, and it should reload the full page/thread.

Also, the thread you reference has multiple pages (two pages) so far. You may want to make sure you are going to page #2 to see the latest responses.

Thanks! Yep, OK - idiot me! As you rightly say, I should have gone to page 2!

Forgive a "senior moment" !?

P.S. On my mobile, looking at a thread now usually takes me to the latest posts (which I find very useful - rather than having to scroll down to the latest each time).

However, this doesn't seem to happen on a laptop?

Once again, am I missing something?

Behavior should be identical between a phone, tablet, desktop and laptop as far as displaying unread threads.

When you use the "New Threads" link at the top of the page, all unread posts/threads will be listed in bold text. If you click on the thread name, it will (or at least should) take you to the latest unread post on that thread, not to the first post in the thread.

If you click on the thread name (for example, after clicking on the "What's New" link at the top of the screen) and it is not bold, then it will bring you to the first post in the thread, not to the last post in the thread. It's just how the forum behaves.

I've recieved a couple of requests from folks who want to change the display order of how threads are displayed, as you could do on the old forum. I'm researching this. It is possible to do it, but not as a blanket setting that is user-adjustable. However, there may be an add-on that allows this to be done.
