WANTED Roller Blind Cable for C126

For 1991 560SEC: Want to purchase the "Roller Blind Cable" Part Number 000 812 03 87, this is the notched Nylon Cable that moves the Rear Sunshade up and down in the centrally-mounted metal tube. Mercedes-Benz in their infinite wisdom have seen fit to discontinue offering this some time ago and I can find no other alternatives.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

There is supposed to be a Volvo replacement antenna which has the equivalent tooth pattern. I don't have more detail but that might give you a direction to research.

I understand completely. :) Just trolled eBay for Volvo Antennas and see that they use an identical-appearing notched nylon cable on their replacement antenna masts and have ordered one up for 15 bucks so we'll see how closely it matches soon. The irony of all this is that I bought an MB spare several years ago and now can't remember where I hid it!

Mystery Solved. The Volvo Antenna I ordered was delivered the same day that I "found" the original MB Cable that I had hidden from myself all these years and they are NOT identical. The Diameter of the nylon cable is the same at 0.140", but the pitch of the teeth in the cable is finer than on the MB Cable by maybe 10%, and without the mechanism at hand to test fit the Volvo cable I can't be sure that it would actually function properly. I'll check this out soon as I begin to tackle the chore of removing the rear parcel shelf mechanism and fit the new MB Cable.

Cheers,

George Jr.
