Seat Base Adjustment only on 1 side (lopsided)

Hi All,
Tried searching but couldn't find anything I have a problem with my passenger seat. The Seat base adjusts only on one side. so when you raise and lower the seat the inside of the seat raises or lowers fine. the outside doesn't move to make the seat wonky and lean when adjusted.

Hadn't noticed when I bought the car but the wife was complaining how uncomfortable it was and how she felt like she was twisted. thought she was being crazy as i found it a comfortable place to sit until I saw her seat leaning right into the centre console.

One of the cables from the motor to the opposite side is not engaging. You'll need to remove the seat from the car to repair this, either modifying the old/worn cable to work again, or replacing the bad cable. Search the forum, there should be more details on this issue.

I had the same problem a few months ago, after I got my W124, and was so frustrated because I thought my seats were broken. I was fortunate to come across a 'how-to' article that described my problem I followed the steps and the problem was solved.
You need the seats out of the car to do the repair. All I can say is that it becomes so interesting once you start, that you will find yourself 'renewing' all your cables.
The article by my estimation is a brilliant write-up that saved me a lot of money.
Follow it, be patient, and enjoy your results.
