SOLD Set of Two Factory (Becker/Alpine) 1994-95 Radio Amplifiers, $85 shipped

I have a set of two radio amplifiers for facelift (E500) cars, as used in the 1994 model year, and also for E420 models in the 1994 and 1995 model years.

These are the factory amps, that fit behind the passenger rear seat in the trunk, under the C pillar. Ideal to have these as spares. These came off of a 1994 E420.

These amps WILL NOT WORK in pre-facelift (1992 and 1993) 500E and 400E models.

MB part number is 124 820 17 89. List price from MB is $496, each (discounted to ~$370).

$85 shipped for the pair, via US Priority Mail. $15 of that price is shipping.

Just curious as to why they'res two: amp and pre-amp? Are they Alpine, or Bose?

Happy to see it's a modular connection, going to be removing these and sending them in for refurbishment to Becker.

One amplifier for each side, left speakers & right speakers. Not sure who makes these for MB - could be Becker?

Yes, it is Becker.

Gerry: It looks like these amps are for my car too (94 E320 ) although Xentry does not display my stereo set up for some reason. I did input the part # and it does show 124.032 which is my model. If you guys agree I'll take them please.

If you have a US-spec, facelift car with a stock stereo (BE 1492), the amps I have will work just fine. They came from a 1994 E420 model, which utilises the same radio as US-spec E320s.

The "Becker/Alpine" in the title of this post was reference to the fact that the facelift headunits were manufactured both by Becker and Alpine, were plug and play, and nearly (98%, but not quite 100%) identitical.
