@036,
A 1960 Opal was my first brand new car. I grew up in New Orleans where my step mother worked for a Buick Dealer that sold Opals. She got me a good deal on a new one. I was 18 at the time and had it for about a year before I joined the Marines and left it with my younger brother who promptly totaled it! I never saw it again.
A 60 Opal was a pretty basic car. I don’t remember much about now it’s been about 60 years since I owned it but it ran well for an 4 banger and was very dependable. At least while I had it.
