So our esteemed family member Herr Klink gets some positive PR from Mr. Ed Bolian, via Tavarish (late of Jalopnik) regarding the "2904" trans USA race a few years ago in which Ed's $1500 S Class broke the then-standing record for NY to LA, thanks to the magic laying on of hands by Klink.

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ta_xqRXiZDc

Sounds like a good subject for a 500eboard essay exclusive!

Whaddayah say klink?!?

:D

Maybe one day. Heck, I haven’t even done an owner’s thread yet...

I thought this was old news. We did the drive on November 1, 2015. If you want to see more about this and Ed’s “unlimited expense” absolute record run a couple years before, go to http://edbolian.com/ and click on “cannonball record” and navigate your way through the various menus and submenus. You will probably have some fun. You will also discover Tavarish’s Jalopnik article on the our white 2904 car.

Also, if you are into this kind of thing, you will want to read Ed's book, “For The Record”
I contributed a chapter. Some have told me that it didn’t suck...

FWIW, we actually arrived at the Portofino with the ET of 32:02, however, the "official" arrival time was set by when the timekeeper received the photo text message of our arrival at the gate, hence the official time of 32:05.
