@Mish_Mish Congrats. I’ve had my G36 for a while but they’re coming in left and right now that some of them are 25 yrs old. I believe mine got here on some type of exception/exemption etc. Yours looks like the 500GE amethyst color which is cool. Mine is green. Where are you located?

Looks more like Bornite to me. Believe the 500GE color was quite a bit darker.....

Hi, I am in columbus, Ohio. I have 2 AMG's on the boat, one is G320 with some cosmetics by AMG Japan and this one, which is a full blown G36 Bornite.

:thumbsup2: Well done!!!
Love the color...when it comes to AMGs I am an "any color other than black or silver" kind of guy (he says as he drives around in his black over black 500E :hammerhead:)

I had a supposed G36 slip through my fingers a few years back... found it locally on Craigslist one night and for stupid low $$$... by the time I called the dealer the next day it was gone.
Couldn't really determine if it was the real thing or not anyway.

Have fun with your latest toys!

And again, another G36 is caught in the midair, a day before "Japanese Easter" 10 day shut down.
97 model, late 96 Graz factory assembly, 115k km Green Black 9189 metallic of some sort.

M104-based G-wagens are just fine in modern traffic. You just have to rev them to get the power out of the mid- and high-end. They are lacking in low-end torque off the line. Once you're going, you're just fine. They top out around 115 MPH. Cruising at 80 or 90 MPH can get noisy, but it's tolerable.

The AMG M104s are a little better, as they have ~60 more HP than the pedestrian M104s, but they still don't compare to a V-8 when it comes to torque off the line.

Glad to hear. I am working on a G320 right now (head gasket oil leak issue and such), can't wait to take it our on the road. In the yard it seemed ample, no butterflies in the tummy but ample.

I got my (cheap) G320 running, it had the early head gasket issue with oil coming out of the engine rear corner plus, bad water pump and worn out lower king pin bearings. All went well, including the valve cover re-finish.

So my G36 is finally here, not a day over 4 months too soon.
Seems like a very honest old car, no rust, no paintwork, some wear and tear but pulls really strong compared to G320, what a difference.
