I have for sale two pairs of door mirror rubber boots for the W124 models. You know, the ones that get cracked and turn hella nast with time. And the ones that cost some extraordinarily big bucks to get from the dealer ... to the tune of well over $600 apiece.
These two pairs of boots I harvested from a 1986 300E and a 1990 300E, respectively. Both are in VG+ condition and I would not hesitate for a second to put them on my personal car if I needed them.
Neither pair has any rips or external blemishes or other cosmetic problems. Both pairs are supple and I was easily able to work them off of the mirror bases without ripping the rubber. That is quite amazing for a rubber part that is nearly 30 and is 25 years old !! This just tells you how good quality that old German rubber really is !!
All boots have been soaked/cleaned, and have been slathered in 303 Aerospace Protectant to give them some UV protection for the near future. "Bro Juice" treatment is available upon special request, for free, before shipping. You must specially request this, however.
Each pair is detailed below.
The price for each pair is $110, including US Priority Mail shipping anywhere in the USA.
For reference, the current MB part numbers for the mirror boots are:
Left boot: 124 811 01 61 (MSRP $332 / discounted ~$250-260)
Right boot: 124 811 04 61 (MSRP $326 / discounted ~$245-255)
The first pair is in slightly better condition because the rubber is almost like new. ONE loop on the underside of one boot is cracked (as pictured), but this does not affect the operation or cosmetics of the boot whatsoever..
PAIR #1

The second pair has absolutely no broken loops, and is also in great condition. The rubber is also extremely supple, but the "press test" shows one of the boots to be a smidgin harder than the other three. Again, there are no problems and it is still very supple and would be easily and confidently installed on a vehicle. No external cosmetic issues with this pair, either.
PAIR #2

Again, I would not hesitate to install either pair on my E500. If your boots are hard or tired, this is the only alternative to paying huge money for new ones from MB.
Items are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Cheers,
Gerry
