Speaker Buzz

Sorry to rattle your brains out, but I have this intermittent buzz coming through the left speaker. Sometimes it stops when I use the turn signal or restart the car. It happened a couple times a while back and is fading in frequency again. Sometimes I hear a short buzz when stepping on the brake pedal. Once it even continued with the car off and the key out of the ignition! Any ideas?

When I experienced this, it was due to a bad amp located in the trunk. Junk yard replacement fixed the problem. Parts cost new is prohibitive ($1000 plus)

Thanks Patrick! I can replace it for pretty cheap and see if it works. I'll hold on to the original just in case as well.

Just swap the two amplifier units and see if the noise transfers to the other side. They are the silver square boxes located on the passenger side trunk wall / rear pillar reinforcement brackets...
YES! This is exactly how to troubleshoot the amps. If the problem does NOT move to the other side, the issue lies elsewhere.
