Niiiiice. Wish they had reported the GPS vMax. Mechanical speedos tend to be optimistic at high speeds, so actual vMax was likely 270-280kph (165-175mph), which is still impressive. Also would like to know what aero mods were done, if any... Hartmut stated it was difficult to get the first Hammer beyond 270-280 without getting really creative with aero.

Is it just me or did it seem like the car wasn't super stable beyond around 270kph indicated?

Wonder what it was like to be in one of the vehicles passed at speed.

Having been on the autobahn in a Scoda/VW Passat doing around 100mph I got passed by a Bimmer probably doing at least 160mph. I was real loud and the wind blast rocked my rented Scoda as it passed. :kapow:

PS; The biggest deterrent for going any faster in the Scoda was my wife screaming in my ear.:jono:

I always get TopSpeedGermany and AutoTopNL confused. ATNL uses GPS for their 0-100/0-200/100-200kph. Us and the viewers request another do over plz

IIRC that's an MB 5speed with R up and way left... I hated them as a kid / novice stick driver who was paranoid of confusing it with 1st in some customer's new car. But it could have been left and way down and I was terrified of downshifting into reverse in some customer's car.😒

maw

EDIT... attached is the one I have in mind

Pretty pictures, lots of action, sounds like a great interview. I just wish I could understand German. :jono:
