“If the demand would have been unbelievable, then it could have gone further,”

No sh*t.

“Signature for $1,095 a month, Reserve for $1,595 a month, and Premiere for $2,995 a month. A one-time $495 joining fee is also required. As of February 2020, Mercedes was still trying to juice sales by adding a new tier consisting of the automaker’s high-performance AMG models.”

uh $2,995 a MONTH, and it still didn’t include AMG access?! w. t. f.

Just estimate what car you can actually buy with the same money you had spend there in only one year:wow:
And it is still yours after that year is over...

I guess they wanted to hop on the running train of car-leasing and attract people with the same polular benefits like no longtime response, no repair and service costs and of course regular access to a different and brandnew car!

Porsche offers a similar service in Germany. But not to much in the media about if they make profit with it.

I wonder how Porsche Drive is doing in the US. Being in Atlanta, you see billboards advertising, and having a lot of Porsche enthusiast friends, none of them have mentioned this program.

These are experimental programs to investigate alternative transportation models. MB (like the other marques) is finding out that the public is not ready for this, or is not interested. Just like a Silicon Valley tech startup. Some make it, most don't. What matters is that they tried.

Well, who would have guessed that?! 🤔
No real enthusiast would want a "rental" Porsche or similar brand if he has the money to buy his own car!
