Triggering Limp home mode

Hi Guys,

A few people have been asking me this, since the drivers of black and white car (with flashing lights on top) are pretty F'ing sick these days, and will impound people's cars for the daftest of reasons. Is their away of triggering limp home mode so as to prevent these hatters from ruining someone's car?

I know manually moving the throttle behind the engine will, but that goes away after a restart.

Thanks in advance

While learning about what is now my UK car I coasted up to some lights in Kuwait City. While still rolling I put the car into Neutral. When pulling away from the lights I found my self in Limp Home Mode. I had never even heard of LHM before...

So coast to a halt for the Black and White Hatters, leave the car running and if they take it it will be in LHM.

Hi Jim,
That should not cause LHM to occur. I think I have done this once or twice before (N while still rolling, then shifting back to D at complete stop), other do it pretty common.
