Mercedes Auto Dimming Rear View Mirror - Homelink & Compass W124 W201 300E 190E Mercedes Auto Dimming Rear View mirror with Homelink and Amber Compass Display. Suitable for all models of the W201 and W124 (except the cabriolet). Fits 86-95 - 190E 300E 400E 500E E320 E400 E500 & E60 Upgrade your manual rear view mirror with a more modern auto dimming rear view mirror. Not only do you get the technology of auto dimming, you have integrated Homelink to control your garage and/or gate system and a compass colored matched to your Mercedes interior. These are custom made using OEM brackets and OEM auto dimming mirrors. All of the components are made by the OEM supplier to Mercedes (Gentex), proudly made in the USA and re-manufactured by us in the USA as well. Each mirror will include a packet of installation accessories which includes; connectors, zip ties, installation tool/key and a wire harness. After your purchase, you will be emailed a PDF document outlining the installation process and how to configure/use your Homelink and Compass. We will also provide you a link to a YouTube video that shows one of these being installed in a similar vehicle (not a W124 or W201 unfortunately.) To undertake this project, you should have a good understanding on how to use small hand tools, a multi-meter and be comfortable dissembling your vehicle just a bit. You can always seek the help of your local MB tech if you feel its beyond your skill level. Some items to note; - The Homelink frequency range will only cover North America and will not function outside of the USA on 420 MHz systems. - The Homelink module in this mirror is not compatible with with Security + Garage door openers directly, but there are ways to work around this (ask for more info) - The Compass is amber in color and is a close match for the Mercedes interior color. The compass can not be turned off. You will need to set the compass zone and calibrate it for your zone, if you don't, the compass will not give you correct readings (covered in the installation guide) - This model is designed for left hand drive cars only (LHD) - Your vehicle should have a sunroof, as that is where switched 12 volt power is sourced, if you do not have a sunroof, expect to do more work to find switched 12 volt power - Wiring for the mirror is inside the bracket, no visible wires once installed. - Installation is quite simple using the included tool. Under no circumstances should you push on the bottom of the mirror or the bracket for installation. Nor should you use a hammer, 2x4 or a gorilla to hit the bottom of the mirror/bracket. Trust me, you will break the mirror or worse, miss the mirror and hit your windshield. Just use the installation tool, no profanity necessary. - This auto dimming mirror is just a little bit smaller in width than the OE mirror, see the picture that has the tape measure to get exact dimensions. - This mirror will not fit the W123, R107, W126 etc., it is specific to the W201 & W124. We do build these mirrors for other models, so contact us for more info. - This mirror will not fit the 300CE or E320 Cabriolet (W124), those vehicles actually use a R129 mirror, something we don't provide. - These mirrors are constructed using pre-owned parts and NOT new components. This process involves completely dissembling our donor parts, inspecting, cleaning, modifying, testing and refurbishing as necessary. If any item fails to function correctly or is too badly worn, we replace it. With that said, these mirrors may look like new but expect to find signs of previous use. |
