Raggedy old white Dodge flat that looked like a farm truck rolls up and drops 2000ft lbs and 1000hp at the freekin WHEELS! Still can't fathom how much power those big Cummings 6's were laying down truck after truck. 4 put down well over 800/1500 to the wheels and all 4 were street drivers.
Got a whole new perspective on what STOUT really is as of today!!
BTW my sons 6.0 ford F 550 was puny at "only 450/775 at the wheels just Dayum!!
For some perspective this rig was there.

NICE! I've seen a couple of crazy diesel trucks like that at the local track. Always amazing to see them run.

Side note - that Corvette launched very soft... with a 125mph trap speed, it should have been low 11's, which would have made it a lot closer to the truck at the finish line (but still a loser). Also can't tell what their reaction times are but that also affects the gap between lanes at the top end. Would have liked to see the 'Vette running the best it could, the video title is a little (well, a LOT) misleading when it says the truck "kills" the Corvette. A good run on the Chevy and they might have only been a few tenths apart. Still, 129mph trap speed out of that brick is just astounding. Wow.

I had absolutely NO clue just how stout some of the Diesels are till this weekend. Had one silver Dodge that looked stock and sounded normal but dropped 700/1400 + at the wheels on the dyno. All of the V8's were WAY behind the straight 6 Dodges in power and that was a shocker.
Did see a decked out Denalli with a LS pull 475/650.
Just surreal seeing a couple ragged looking street driven pickup's drop 800-1000 hp at the wheels on the dyno and then see a 10 second time slip from the strip! Just dayum!!!

The vette driver was pretty pathetic.
Yeah, I'd like to see the timeslip and figure out what happened. I know C7 owners who race at my home track. Can't tell if the Vette in the video had bad wheelspin, or he was launching really soft, or had a bad reaction time... most likely a combination of all those things. (Note that a bad reaction time will not affect his ET nor MPH, but it will put the Vette further behind the truck at the finish line, making it look more like a "killing".)

The old Amazons look cool but nope unless it was this one.

Looked hard at a 04 S60R a while back. When I drove it I had just gotten out of a Chevy SS with the LS motor and that particular Volvo would have put a few BUS lengths on the SS!!
One of the most evil and best handling cars I have ever been in ( would LOVE to see dyno # on that car as it had to be dropping 550+ to the wheels) but passed as it would have been a maintenance nightmare with all the high tech suspension it was running and such.
This car would be more my speed with a Volvo
