Hi,

I would like to buy a spare E Gas Module specific to the w124 chassis. (No w140 or r129 modules)

My original item PN is 124 545 26 32. Ideally this is the one I would like.

Or I believe USA modules will also work-

124 545 44 32
124 545 45 32

PM me if anyone has one available FS. PayPal payment & shipping to Northern Ireland using USPS.

Joe

This one can be closed. I tracked down the exact module I wanted in France- quite expensive & not easy to find the Euro 500E E Gas but I now have a compete good set of 4x spare modules for my 500E.

Make sure to test all the spare modules! Nothing worse than pulling a spare off the shelf a few years down the road and discovering it's defective.

JC, you may want to consider having TWO spares of each module, just in case.....

Yes I have my Spare Base, LH & ASR module confirmed working 100% in my 500E.

The 124 545 26 32 E Gas I just got bought today so it’ll be here in around a week from France. At approx $250USD delivered I may have overpaid..... but it’s a rare enough module and I want the Cruise functional should I require to install the spare E Gas. (Although E140 + R129 Spare E Gas are plentiful – cruise functionality is gone in the w124 as I understand it) That 124 545 26 32 PN is also Euro specific – not sure on the specific difference in 500E USA E-Gas. Going by another thread on here it should have worked OK......... but didn’t want to find out the hard way.

Yes I’m working towards that Gerry. Next I want to get a spare updated ETA, EZL & MAF then move onto a second set of modules also. The way I see it I will never sell my 500E. The getting is fairly decent now for used modules – once that dries up a failed unit could prove very expensive a few years down the road.....

Yep, perhaps for your "second" units you could go with non-W124 units, E-GAS excepting. There are enough 400Es with ASR out there to donate their non-LH units that you can decently get W124-specific units.

I maintain two extras each for EZL, MAF, and all modules (including the US-specific DM diagnostic module), three instrument clusters as donators, climate control pushbutton units, airbag control module, alarm modules, the list goes on.

For my 560SEC, it's two extra CIS-E computers, two extra EZLs, and as many of each kind of relay as I can hoard (specifically the idle control, fuel injection, Klima and OVP relays). And full extra of CIS fuel head and air meter assembly.
