WANTED WTB: Rials ARC M800 (18x8.0 ET35)

Just offering you another way to achieve what you want .....

The ARC M800s are heavy and have suboptimal wheel width / offset for the E500E. As well, they are cast.
You could commission a set of forged 18" replicas of the 8-Loch wheel from these guys for quite reasonable pricing: Bespoke Design - Custom Forged Wheels

Note as of today's date, CAD 1400 = USD 1018 ... so 4K USD for a set of NEW forged 18" 8-Loch replicas, while not inexpensive, would only be about 2x the cost of used, cast ARC M800s....

Here is a non-refurbished set in Germany, but only pick up and shipping may be a killing factor. However, they seems to be in good condition.

Ooof. $1900 USD plus freight to USA, plus (probably) straightening and refinishing... pushing ~$3k all in before tyres. And you still gotta deal with spacers, if you want the wheels anywhere near the fender lips.

That's a good case for brand-new forged custom wheels at ~$4k in the proper offsets & widths.

:spend:

Any idea about specifications for the appropriate custom commission job? Re: spacing, etc etc
Offset (backspacing) will depend on your desired wheel widths. So to start, you'd need to figure out what widths you want, and if you plan on a square or staggered setup.

What I have had in mind is 8.5 et 26 and 9/or 9.5 et 25 - 30 with a flat face in front and a small lip on the rears. I will need a rendering as to how the factory design will look with this lip. If others want a square setup the fabricators would already have the 8.5 specs, and we would ask for a quantity deal.

Drew, if you’re going through that whole effort then you might as well go the whole nine yards and get them made out of magnesium 😍

I wouldn't be opposed to working out a group-buy on these. Let me know your thoughts. I'm likely partial to a square setup

Curious if anyone has insights or recommendations into proper widths if doing a custom job?

I'm now considering doing a custom job with Augment and would appreciate any insight.

This depends on the desired appearance / performance.

First question - square set, or staggered? If square, you're probably looking at 8.5" wide with ET's in the 25-30 ballpark. With staggered, you can go at least 10.0 in the rear.

Second question, what size tires are planned / desired? Some sizes are oddball and hard to find in mainstream tire brands/models (say, Pilot PS4 or similar). Related question, do you love or hate the "stretched" tire look? Because you can get a wide wheel with a skinny tire, however this would limit the market/demand, as some people aren't into stretch (myself included).

Note that offsets become critical as the wheel width increase. I.e., with an 8.0" wheel, there's a pretty wide range of offsets that will work, although appearance will vary. With (for example) a 10" wheel, the acceptable offset is very limited where clearance won't be an issue.

:seesaw:

I am open to working with others on this project. I am stuck on the staggard fitment however that does not preclude sharing the front specifications. An 8.5 front rim is arguably the best choice for a square or staggard fitment. 245/40/18 tire is the logical choice for that rim size and is one of the most popular sizes with many choices.

My time frame on this is realistically mid 2025.
