• Hi Guest !

    Welcome to the 500Eboard forum.

Since its founding in late 2008, 500Eboard has become the leading resource on the Internet for all things related to the Mercedes-Benz 500E and E500. In recent years, we have also expanded to include the 400E and E420 models, which are directly related to the 500E/E500.

We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

We hope you will become an active contributor to the community!

    Sincerely,
    500Eboard Management

Here is my submission. This is from a 500E gathering we had in 2007 at Portland International Raceway, in Portland, Oregon. To that time, it was one of the largest gatherings done in the USA.

This was a photo that I took from the PIR tower.

I had a small hiccup on the Photo Contest settings that didn't allow the last couple of submissions (including my own) to be included in the Gallery at the top of the thread, but got it all sorted out so that all submitted photos are now displayed in the descending order of the votes received.

PLEASE VOTE !

How exactly does one "vote"? I don't see a button anywhere.

Welcome to the 2020 500Eboard Photo Contest !!
Here's how the contest works:

  • Click on the "Like" button on each photo's post to vote for it.
  • Only "Like" "Love" and "Haha" smilies will be considered votes. Other smilies, such as "Wow" "Sad" "Angry" and "Dislike" will not count as "yea" or "nay" votes for a photo.
  • The number inside the small gray box on the upper photo thumbnail group shows how many votes that the photo currently has.
  • Votes can be changed as often as desired by removing one's "Like" for a particular photo, and "Liking" another photo.

For reference of @gsxr

That's not exactly making it easy. People find the photo they like at the top of the thread, but then have to wade through 120+ posts looking for which post has the photo they need to "like" to vote for?

Jebus, NO.

1. You look through the collection of images at the top of the thread.

2. You click on any image that you like. The click takes you to the specific post (submission) that contains that image.

3. You click the "Like" (or "Love" or "Haha") button on that image's post to place your vote for that image.

4. You rinse and repeat for each image that you want to vote on. You can vote for as many images as you like.

Gerry,

I read your answer to gsxr to go to the photo you like by clicking on the photo at the top of the thread.

The next part is confusing to me since I posted a like on most of the photos when they were posted. Others did the same. As reference click on jlaa's red 500E. You will see many clicks already

So now do I (and others) have to go back thru the pics from top to bottom and UN-CLICK the likes on some of the pics. So that I can determine in my mind which is the best pic to win the contest?

To remove your vote from any individual photo:

1) Go to the photo at the top of the thread, and select the photo you want to de-vote.

2) That click will take you to the desired post, where the poster submitted the photo to the contest.

3) If you previously voted for the photo, you will see a bolded "Like" graphic, as below, at the bottom of the post:
Screen Shot 2020-03-02 at 5.04.45 PM.jpg

4) Click on the bolded "Like" (or "Love" or "Haha" per your original vote), and your vote will be removed from that photo.

5) Alternately, if you don't remember which photos you voted for, you can scroll through the thread (all three pages) and look for individual posts that indicate (per the bolded "Like" link) that you had previously voted for it, and remove it that way.

6) Congratulate yourself on being more technically savvy than @gsxr.
