We invite you to browse and take advantage of the information and resources here on the site. If you find helpful information, please register for full membership, and you'll find even more resources available. Feel free to ask questions, and make liberal use of the "Search" function to find answers.

I've contemplated on and off about repainting the cladding and bumpers on Ms. Bornite to match the upper paint, but I'm torn between originality and better appearance... with Ms. Bornite, it's a tougher decision to lose the original cladding bumper paint that is still in great shape.
Either one is fine, I won't care, as long as you let me have first dibs when you decide to sell!

:wahoo:

Very nice pics, chaps :D
I can´t decide what to post here, so you tell me....

Nice photos... the 18” replicas are dope... all I know are these cars are the bomb, from virtually every angle. I guess that’s why we own them. I was looking at my S55 the other day thinking the same thing, like damn! F’n Bruno Sacco...

Thanks! I don't know about the long wheel bolts, is that specific to a model year? Mine is a 93.

No, they were on all MB´s that time, later Mercedes chaned them to short ones, long bolts are easy to bend...and now they cost a lot of money, so take good care.

Niiiiiiice......second one here with long wheel bolts :D
And lovely colour.

This is an aesthetic I never understood, and I consider myself deeply OCD. Someone pointed that out on the pedestrian EVOs on my estate, flush lugs, but I swear they are the standard bolts (aka wasn't intentional).

I am thrilled with the response and engagement this "Photo Contest" thread has brought to the board.

11 more days until photo submissions end. Then y'all will have 10 days in March to complete your voting.

Keep the photos coming !!

the photo that maw posted is one of the MB factory press photographs at the 1993 introduction of the E500 (facelift). It's available through the Daimler Archives as well as on this site in various resolutions.

Yes I understand that. My point was - is that suitable for the competition? It isn't very clear but I pressure Gerry you are vetting each submission and only then adding them to the photos on top with vote numbers?

NO. Any posted photo automatically gets added to the top, and folks can vote. I have not vetted anything, though I will if needed.

@maw1124 posted a link to an Instagram post by Mercedes-Benz, not a photo. Thus, it does not appear in the list at the top of the thread, with vote tallies. Only attached photos will appear in the voting list.

Please review the rule from my first post, as you quoted. This rule is iron-clad:

Contest rules:

2. All submitted photos MUST be taken by the submitter, or a close friend or relative.

Ah Yes I understand now thanks Gerry. (On my android phone it looked just like the other submittals aka a photo)

It has nothing to do with the competition nor was it meant to. It’s a link, as GVZ stated, which I knew full well. Consider it a “hype video”...

looooove the blue color! Indeed, I looked at this photo carefully - it in fact also seems to have my own car in the background with its previous owner standing behind it! .... my guess is that this photo is taken in the 2015/2016 timeframe on the east coast.

I believe you are correct, this photo was taken May 3rd, 2015 in Vienna, VA.

The First 4-Door "Porsche" and the "Second" 4-Door Porsche
Amazing how bloated/inelegant the Panamera looks compared to the 500E......
