FOR SALE 1990 500E Brabus 6.0L, Black Pearl/Black, 82kmi, BaT (Doylestown, PA)

how on earth did you find that??

Well you know, @a777fan, "HYPEBEAST" 🙄 naming aside, I'm not really an enthusiast of many of these things:

...but I guess the @gsxr is showing us another side of himself that we don't really know about. One second you think he, excuse me, it is some robot controlling matrix-style-bits on 80286 PCs, and the next second it shows us that it is a fashion-forward self-aware robot! 🤖 🤣

1991 Mercedes-Benz 1991 500E Amg Hammer Amg Hammer Brabus 6.0
1991 Mercedes Benz 500E Amg Hammer Brabus ULTRA rare ,One on 8 cars ever build
$99500 BIN

Vehicle Description

This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 500E was modified by Brabus. Power is from an enlarged 6.0-liter V8, and other Brabus modifications include lowered suspension, performance exhaust, Alcon front brake calipers, and 18? three-spoke wheels. The car features body-colored bumper covers and other cladding over a black interior with heated Recaro-designed leather front seats. Additional features include a four-speed automatic transmission, automatic climate control, and front seat position memory. Body-colored trim includes the bumper inserts, lower cladding, grille, and badges. The car is equipped with fog lights, headlight wipers, a sunroof, and an automatic antenna. Brabus badging has been added to the hood, front doors, and trunk. The car has been lowered over three-spoke Brabus wheels, which measure 18?x9? at all four corners and are mounted with 245/40 Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with Brabus-branded Alcon multi-piston front calipers and standard rear versions. Brabus enlarged the M119 V8 from 5.0 to 6.0 liters, and other modifications included a solid lifter conversion as well as headers, an exhaust system, and ECU tuning. This example was fitted with new valve springs in 2018 according to an invoice from Brabus in the gallery below. A Brabus data plate is affixed to the radiator support.

Seller chose to not include the VIN in the ebay listing.

False advertising all over the auction title. AMG Hammer Brabus 6.0? :wtf:

BIN of $100K? Confirms my earlier statement in the Game #2 thread that the owner+seller think they have a $100K bird in hand.

Nope.

1 of 8 ever built? description makes reference to high bidder, yet the listing is BIN/OBO. No sale on this one is my entry. Oh yeah the game ended. No retries right?

I think this listing on eBay is more of an "exposure" listing than a "car will sell" listing. It's to get the car in front of as many people as possible, and try to goose a sale as close to the magic (hallucinatory) $100K mark as possible.

In reality, this car is going to sell for between $60 and $75K to someone with some bucks and an interest in a decent 6-liter example. But they're going to need to invest $30-40K into it to really make it what it should be.

In the end, they're going to pay $100K+ for a car that in reality will be worth .... $80K after being worked over.

Again, an exceedingly poor marketing job on the eBay ad. That's two for two on poor marketing jobs.

Perhaps someone should introduce the seller to @deanlaumbach. The car will be properly marketed, represented -- and sold.

Or Jono / @jhodg5ck could more than adequately take care of it.

In an auction title, where the item is supposed to be accurately described ?!?

In my experience, are keywords not more appropriate in the BODY of an auction?

I put them at the BOTTOM of my auctions, with about 5 line breaks in between the bottom of the descriptive text and the keywords.

But NEVER in the title of the auction. IMHO that's pushing deceptiveness.

Dear buyer...I have the right light assemblies at the right price to start you off on your journey ! :jono:

Was the seller a one-man band or were there partners in the operation?

If the seller passed, then who's running the auction?
