1992 Front Seats Lumbar - Controls

Hello,

Did all the driver seats come with lumbar support as standard or was it a option? Is lumbar support listed as a option code? I am looking at a 1992 and can't seem to find the control.

No, the Sport seats were never offered with lumbar controls (aka "orthopedic" controls). Therefore, no 500E's will have them, since all 500E's came with Sport seats, and it wasn't offered as an option.

Orthopaedic seats were an option as far as the EPC has listed, although I've never seen or heard of them being ordered on a 500E. The lumbar support control that is on my 500Es are part of the controls on the door. Headrest, back tilt, lumbar, seat pan) tilt and front/back). The Orthopaedic system may not be compatible with the seats standard in the E500E.

I just found out that this was not an option on the 036, so searched here for confirmation. My father's 500E have the orthopedic seats. Probably a retrofit since the code is not in the datacard, but it looks very stock. Can arrange pics!
