Re: For sale at auction

It definitely could if bought at the right price. That rear end hit was just enough to cause total loss claim. Everything in the front 3/4 should be in the same condition as it was pre collision. Needless to say, these cars are tanks.

Re: 93 500E sor sale at auction (Dallas, TX)

Looks like a perfect parts car, or even a rebuilder / track toy. Probably end up selling for too much $$$ though.

:apl:

Looks driveable. Is this current bid price any indication of an insurance buy-back price on a rear-ended totalled '93?

Looks like plain old AMG 5-spoke wheels, similar to what I have on my wife's 500E, if not identical...

Bidding has ended.... anyone have an account which will show what it sold for? Last I saw, the bidding was near $3k...

UPDATE: No records since 2013, as of December 2025. Likely parted out, but final disposition unknown.
