1993 Mercedes-Benz 500 E - Rare Model, created in close cooperation with Porsche; each 500 E was hand-built by Porsche. It has a 5.0 L V8 engine and 4 wheel disc brakes. This car was purchased and driven in California until recently. It has power windows, power locks, and power steering. The tires were replaced recently.
Selling the car because it is no longer being driven. There is some oxidation in the paint, and the air conditioning needs servicing from not being driven.

No prior detailed record of this car in my database.

I've been eyeing this one since it was posted in August for $5800. Paint is totally shot, and so is the front seat leather (look very closely at the photos). Rear bumper doesn't line up right either. I'm tempted to buy it as a restoration project, but not at that price. If the cosmetics are that bad, it's not likely the mechanicals are much better.

AutoCheck attached, along with PDF of the original listing.

Apologies for lifting the lid on your little secret.
LOL! No worries. It hit Ben's Whirled earlier today and started to go viral. I expect someone will snap it up, and quickly have a case of buyer's remorse. This is a serious fixxer-upper. An easy $5k in paint & seat leather alone. There's a reason why I've known about it this long and it's still not in my driveway...

Is this an 040 car?
