Attended the show last week. The weather was picture perfect Saturday followed by some sun and lesser temps on Sunday. Here are some pictures.

These two cars were brought by Kwiek Classics. The older coupe was found in Mexico and was fabricated completely in steel. Kwiek Classics did the swaps [M113 Kompressor motors!] and both cars are completely sorted.

The wooden bicycle car was obviously hand crafted with two sets of pedals although I witnessed one man peddle it off the field.

After years of being a Porsche enthusiast, owning, meeting, reading, I was incredulous when I learned that these cars, Denzel, existed. I was told that the creator was friends with Porsche, and they freely exchanged ideas and created these cars that look so much like early 911s. I believe there were 12 present out of maybe 30 something built. Every one was slightly different.

Isn't the car culture wonderful.

I could not. My knoledge on these powerplants is weak and there were many folks asking the two creators questions. I was blown away by the orange car which had been constructed by the original owner for racing.
@sheward, Re: the Orange car. Is that a 280 Coupe or something like that? I’ll bet it moves pretty good. I love those 16” Lorisener wheels. A set just sold receding BaT for $2K.

I love that first 968. A dream car of mine, exactly in that color w those wheels. Thanks @sheward
@Jlaa, Since I know little about Porsches and only see 2 - 959s and a robins egg blue 911 w/ Ruf wheels (probably is a Ruf). Is that the color you like? I like that one to.

I have a friend with an older 911 Turbo painted in that color. He is an old (like me) Porsche Mechanic that I met at our local Friday night car show. When the weather turns nice I’ll get some pics of it. I think it looks spectacular.

He a I both have another old friend that owns or owned a White Ruf. He sold it a while back during Covid.

Hah! I am not a huge “all-things-Porch enthusiast” but there are certain models I really really like.

The first pic @sheward posted is of a 90s 968 with a 3.0 liter naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine and neat tilt-up headlights like the 928. As well I love the color (Aventura Green I believe) as well as the 3 pc wheels with grey centers. I love the shape of this car. Its probably not fast by modern standards but that is irrelevant to me! This is a dream car of mine.

Yeah I looked at it and thought "there's probably some long nosed Porsche in my future." The 928 was next in line behind the 500E. I might have to try to get @oaklandw124 to sell me one of his.

;-D

I just stumbled upon this thread last night for the first time, actually! I have 100's of pics from the Werks Reunion on Friday (all Porsche only), RM Sotheby's preview that I checked out that same day, the Radwood and Concours of Lemon scraps on Saturday, and the big show on Sunday. Below are pics of the 968's which may or may not now be welcomed, since they both have inner secrets under the hood.. coupled with other stuff referenced above and some miscellaneous, cool cars:

After sweating the fever off all 911's pretty much, this is the only air-cooled one I would ever consider getting, but I have too many toys and need (should, ahem) get a car built in this century! This car was top 3 of my favorites all weekend - had it been blue, I would have thought about making an offer...

That's what an $8.5M convertible looks like. Seeing someone taller than 5'9 driving one where their head peers over the windshield - well, that's just priceless...

IMG_3883.jpegIMG_3884.jpeg

I spent a good amount of time speaking with the builder of both of these - he's got a 500 SEC being built and an anticipated price tag north of $100K - no doubt a cool prospect, but... I will have to settle with my model collection of them instead!

Not sure I will ever see a herd of these animals in such a large quantity ever again:

This last one had such a magnificent presence... it won the show on the competition category and a sight to behold. Methinks I have 7+ pics of just this car alone and hope you guys enjoy me sharing these.
