I'm MB enthusiast. And I'm really love this car. I planned to keep at for a long time. But I have to back to my home country. everything works. Ac blows. Engine and tranny really good. Body and paint in pretty good condition for 20 years old car. Never repainted. Serious buyers only please. low balers don't even try use my hard life situation. I'm proud of this car and sell it only to responsible new owner. No Trades cash only. Test derive only with cash in hands.

I'd get a CarFax & AutoCheck to look for accidents reported. Any time I see a facelift on an older car, it makes me wonder if it had a front impact. Get the VIN to double-check if it is a true Sportline (code 653 + 952/953). Otherwise, it looks nice.

Even after my morning coffee the facelift never registered. It really fits the coupe with it's sporty lines.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I love the facelift... just makes me wonder when & why it received the facelift. Due to the cost, very few people do the facelift unless there was wrinkled sheet metal involved.

I 2nd Dave's observation. Very well could of been in a front end accident which deployed the drivers airbag. That might explain why the Sportline steering wheel is missing.

I also noticed the Sportline steering wheel was the early style... since this is a 1992 model, I was letting that slide, in case it was an early build. I think the early cars got a 390mm wheel with "standard" shape airbag, same as the early 500E's. But, if it is a late 1992 model, then Rik is probably right about the airbag deployment.

Good catch, Bing! I missed the damaged right rear wheel (photo below).

Problem is, all of the 124 coupes are pretty rare in the USA, especially late coupes and Sportlines. So, if you are looking for a coupe with a Sportline package, you can't afford to be very picky. Facelift coupes are practically nonexistent in USA. I forget the numbers imported but it's only a few hundred, IIRC...?

Personally I would prefer an .052 to get the HFM EFI (instead of CIS-E on the .051 engine), even better if it was a facelifted .052, but again those will be tough to locate.

Thanks for posting the VIN. The EPC datacard shows codes 653+952 so it is indeed a genuine Sportline.

AutoCheck report attached, no accidents listed, appears the car has always been in CA which is a bonus.

Im selling my 95 Mercedes-Benz E 320 coupe. Its a rare car because its a two door, only 387 of them are in USA. It has a Clean Title. It currently has 146,xxx Original Miles. The tags are good until April 2013. It has a new paint job. The car has AMG Replicas, tires have alot of thread left on them. The car also has a Pioneer Stereo with a Spyder amplifier. The car has a green exterior and a tan interior. The car runs and drives, the engine has a quiet knock to it, so it will need to be towed. Its a really good project car. I hate to sell the car, but I have to. I have to buy books for next semester and need another car that I can drive to school. Will trade for a diesel mercedes, honda, acura, vw, streetbike, motorcycle, scooter, gsxr 600 750 1000, r1, r6, and etc.

Asking $3200 obo. Willing to negotiate, just dont need it anymore. Make me a reasonable offer I cant refuse. Need it gone. Or possible trade. Mostly looking to trade for a 4cyl car, truck, or motorcycle. Just tell me what you have.
