500E Board GTG/Blue Ridge Mercedes Grand opening of our new digs...:)

Less than 1 week and counting! We're driving down from Nashville area, hope to be there by noon on Friday. See ya'll then!

I may not be able to make it after all. Might be a last minute decision. I know everyone is panicking at this news!! Stay strong! Don't cancel the event!

That's no bueno Sir! :(:(

I'm going to burn the midnight oil to try to clear up a backlog of work so that I can make it as planned.

Also, I don't think I saw the address of the new location. So folks don't go to the old facility, here it is:

Blue Ridge MB, Inc.
4405 Paxton Dr SW,
Lilburn, Georgia 30047

Jono,

Is there a schedule of what's going on Friday & Saturday available? Just trying to do some planning as work threatens to intrude on my weekend.

Thanks!

Jono,

Is there a schedule of what's going on Friday & Saturday available? Just trying to do some planning as work threatens to intrude on my weekend.

Thanks!

Friday I figure depending on who/how many show up/when we'll likely head off to one of two places for a late-ish dinner...

Saturday, we'll be getting started here 9:30-10. Food will be here b/w 12-1.. We'll have coffee/drinks/morning type snacks around. Saturday will be spent @ the shop, have everyones car lined up so all can see, plus what ever interesting things we have here will be out for discussion/questions etc, etc.. We're going to leave some lifts open JIC some cars need some looking @...:-)

Sunday, we'll get an early start, hope to be on the road by 7:30-ish and we'll drive up towards to the N GA mtns for a tasty lunch...:-D
From there, people can head off in which ever direction suits their fancy. I'll be headed back to the shop/atl FWIW>

Hope that helps some!
J

Well. . . if work does not call by Friday morning, I intend to drive the Renntech 500E to the GTG.
It is, after all, an E500E GTG.
However, I am told by Jono that any car wearing the :nobmw: is welcome.
I think there will be all kinds of cool cars. . . C126s, 6.0L quadcams, SL70, and more!

Staying at a Hampton nearby.

Had planned to drive over Saturday but now suddenly?? Mother broke her hip a few back and is rehab over in Gadsden. She's giving them and us fits so depends on if she "behaves" or not if I can head over. Hope a "pedestrian" 034 is welcome LOL .

Had the Renntech ready to drive down, hotel reserved, and camera ready when. . . scheduling called.
Knowing that I was scheduled reserve on every weekend, I worked as much as possible to get this weekend off, but was assigned a two day trip tomorrow that will not get me back in time to make any of the weekend!
To say that I am bummed is an understatement. :runexe:

Tomorrow is my wife's birthday and our anniversary, but even she was willing to forgo the celebrations until I returned from the GTG.
I am truly sorry that I will not be able to be there. I know Jono has put a lot of work and planning into arranging this GTG, and I feel terrible that I can't be there to help.
Hoping all of you have safe travels tomorrow and will try to attend the next GTG.

On the positive side, I am thankful to have a job.

Gentlemen, I just got back into town after a taxing week, and there's just too much to do here in Abstract Plains right now. I have to abort the mission this time. I'd love to be there, but I just can't work it out this time. Sorry...
:runexe: :matrix:

I'm in Seattle this weekend ... had to head in the opposite direction. ☹️

I was supposed to be in charge of pictures, had the camera in the car, but was called to work and could not make it.
Sorry guys.

Big thanks to Jono and his crew for a great event. A lot of amazing cars to look at and I enjoyed catching up with board members I'd met before and also meeting a lot of new people. The food was awesome too!

The new facility is top notch. Tons of space.

The award for the coolest car has to go to the Hammer wagon, though the Hammer coupe was great too. And some great 500Es (pearl blue...drool). V12 R129, wide body SECs... Plenty of eye candy.

Here are some pics. This just shows one corner of one part of the facility. So there was a lot more to see. Unfortunately I was too focused on looking at cars and not enough on taking pics for posterity. Also, my iphone wasn't doing a great job of accurately capturing some of the colors. If you think the cars look good in the pics, they were better in person.

I spy in those few pics a Hammer sedan, Hammer wagon, and 7L R129.

OH, and the Brumos 500E... and Klink's favorite, the Pearl Gray 500E too.

Drool factor: eleventybillion.

:drool5:

You are correct in all respects sir, except it's actually a pearl blue car, not pearl gray (those are different colors, right, or am I mixing up names?). That car is the most perfect E500E I have seen and I'm sure is easily one of the best in the country.

And let's not forget the wall of wheels behind the hammers and R129. Surely that's worth of drool too!

now where is the emogi where the eyeballs are 3 feet out of your head and your tongue is on your shoe tops?

I'm not 100% certain but I think the one in the photo is code 122, Pearl Gray? There is another, very similar color which is Pearl Blue (aka Ice Blue), code 348, click here.

That sure looks like 122 Pearl Grey. It also looks perfect!

Thanks for sharing the photos.

I'm pretty sure it was pearl blue and it just looks like pearl grey because my phone was doing a bad job under the artificial lights of jono's shop. I even recall getting very annoyed that the pictures were coming out much greyer than the actual slate blue color of the car. Memory can be a tricky thing but I think it looked exactly like the car in the other thread linked in GSXR's post above.

Regardless, the car is amazing.

I remember it as pearl blue as well. It is in beautiful condition. I may have a picture or but they are poor quality. Thanks, Melville.
