Hello e500e experts.

I have access to a transmission rebuilding expert.

Has anyone modified the 722.3 torque converter to higher stall for better acceleration?

Is it a difficult job?

thank you all

You can buy a higher-stall converter for the 722.3 if desired. It's not a DIY job, the converter manufacturer has to cut it open, modify the angle of the internal blades, weld it back together, and re-balance. Also, there is no way to specify an exact RPM increase, it's trial & error. You can ask for 500rpm higher stall and it might be more, might be less, have to take it out and try again if you want to change it (minimum 8 hours labor to R&R the transmission, each time).

There is ZERO benefit for street driving. Don't waste money on this unless you spend a lot of time at the dragstrip and want to improve ET's by a tenth or two. The improvement in acceleration is only from a dead stop, and will only improve if there's available traction (i.e., drag radials or slicks at the dragstrip).
