93 400E lowering springs/shocks

Hey guys, I've been planning on lowering my 1993 400E but all I can find is H&R springs. I've heard that Eibach made springs for my car but I can't find anything. Also, what would be the best performance lowering shocks/struts for it. :)

I would get the factory Sportline springs, they will cost a bit more but will likely work better than any of the aftermarket stuff (which was primarily designed for 6-cyl cars, and will have your 400E sitting on the suspension stops). Front spring 124-321-42-04, rear 124-324-28-04. Free shipping from links below with promo code "thanks500E", click here for details:

Dampers... try Bilstein Sports. Some catalogs seem to indicate they won't fit the 400E but they will... may need to slightly enlarge the one mounting hole on the strut, otherwise plug & play. Old p/n's are V36-0365 front and B36-1470 rear, new p/n's at links below:

Also, you can check out my owners page for several opinions on the topic. Lots of people who have tried things and returned to the Oe setup. There's some valuable advice from Sr. Members on the topic. If I had the $, I'd go sportline all around. I have bilstein sports and find them a bit harsh. I'm also running 17" mono blocks and h&r's in the front. The guy I bought it from had it set up that way.

The factory Sportline dampers are definitely a good option, but they are substantially more expensive. The 034 Sportline struts are just the 036 front struts, with internal rebound limiting spring (which only works well at factory Sportline ride height - not lower). The 034 Sportline rear shocks (non-SLS) are the same as the 6-cyl Sportline shocks, which are allegedly very, very similar to Bilstein Sport rear shocks. The 500E struts are softer than the Bilstein Sport struts.

:seesaw:

Thanks for the input guys, I'm not necessarily going for smooth because I have 20" rims with low pros on them so either way my rides going to be a little harsh haha. I think I'll go with what you suggested gsxr, thanks for the links :)
