Accelerator Pedal Adjustment

 I need your help please.

The pedal on my 92 500E has about what feels like a ? of an inch travel before any thing happens. I have seen something before on how to adjust this out but cannot locate it any more on either 500E site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have just had the manifold removed, and every piece of plastic pipe and rubber hose replaced along with gaskets, lead wires etc etc. What a difference in performance.

But the long travel in the pedal is annoying me.

Thank you.

These Diagrams should help with component location and factory setting adjustment. Pedal does have a long, heavy travel though, and the fun zone is really in the last half on a stock motor. If you are getting WOT, then I would just stomp on it. (more knowledgable folks, please chime in....) Mine has about a 1/2 in. initial movement "...before anything happens". I don't know of any "tweaks" outside of the factory settings. And would be cautious of confusing or annoying  the ASR.

Ward.

Are you sure the throttle cable (and kickdown cable) are adjusted properly...?
