This muffler was purchased for my deceased 86 300E but according to the Ansa fitment notes it also fits the W124.034 cars. asking $125 plus the ride to your place. For reference I used payPal and Shipstation to send the center resonator from Idaho to Illinois for $33 Via UPS ground.

Sorry, they list this part to fit your 94 E420 as well. I think the center section has gone N/A the last I checked. Could have an exhaust shop delete it like I did when I purchased the cat back system for my 400E from Fox in Germany. The cats do most of the muffling so to speak and even with an open rear muffler and missing center the car is still very quiet. But I now has a nice sound at idle and when accelerating.

I think I have it sorted out. From your picture, what you have for sale is the piece on the right # ME6507 278-195.
It is the end of the exhaust with the dual tailpipes that exit under the rear bumper.
What is not available is the piece on the left # ME6505 175-191. It sits forward of the left piece.
What I need now is the left one.
Am I looking at this correctly?

Yes, the one on the left is the center section and is the hard one to find. I special ordered mine and was fortunate to get one eventually. Was expensive though. That’s why I was suggesting the bypass pipes.

I'm thinking of getting the rear muffler for future needs. Will it fit to a E320 as well?

no the center and rear are different for the E320. Rock auto still has one of each for that car and I would grab them while you can. So the Ansa 6507 fits the E420 but not the E320.
