I am restoring the stereo system to original equipment in my 1992 500e. The previous owner put in an aftermarket system and cut the connectors. I sourced a system from a 1993 400e, but I am not sure of all of the connections. There is a five pin connector (not the power source connector) on the dash unit which has a yellow and black wire attached. Coming from the harness on the car is a green wire. I am trying to figure out if this wire also connects to the five pin connector and if so which pin? Becker says this connector has to do with the speed/volume control system. Also, I am trying to make sure I understand the connections for the amp in the trunk. I have a 3 pin connector with white, yellow, blue and red wires and a separate connector with a brown wire. Then I have a four pin connector with red and brown wires. I think the first connector goes to the amp and the second one goes to the CD changer. Any assistance to clarify the connections would be most appreciated.
