500E Blower squealing

Hello All
So finally my car has something that failed to work. My CCU or blower started squealing/whistling two days ago (although, I heard it a year ago, but it went away) and today no air is blowing through the vents at any speed: hot, cold, A/C or windshield defroster. Can it be the fan bearings that made the squealing/whistling noise? I don't think it's the blower regulator. Maybe its just a fuse, but I think it's the blower that had it. :banghead:

Squealing is generally the blower motor bearings/bushings - do you know if the fan is original?

If completely dead, check the 30A strip fuse first (remember there are TWO of these, one is for the twin electric fans). Should be located behind the brake booster. If the fuse is good you'll need to take everything apart for inspection. Could be the fan, or regulator, or both. Search the forum, this topic has been discussed many times in the past.

BTW, welcome to the forum!

:welcome5:
