Hi Everyone,

Anyone with experience in M-B Becker radios repair?
The Baron's Original head unit (M-B Becker Exquisit BE1490) is making a buzzing noise when switching the ignition on (head unit not the speakers). The headunit does not switch on immediately but takes 5-10 minutes then switches on normally. It was working fine in the summer.

I am suspecting leaking power supply capacitors on the back of the radio... anyone with experience with this issue?

Thanks

Ok I managed to locate the leaking capacitor, just a slight leak and wasn't inflated. Everything else on the board looks OK.

BUT, My only problem now is how to unplug the 2 connectors!! Anyone know how this type of connector can be unplugged (See pictures)?

The volume potentiometer is working fine, and no other capacitor seems to be leaking or inflated.

BTW, a Bluetooth adapter can be wired into this headunit using either the cassette or CD playes terminals. problem is it always needs to have a cd/cassette in.

I tried a really simple AUX solution on our old S600 which had the same radio. wired the 3 aux wires to the CD terminal. Actually had great sound but had to have the CD changer there
