CENTRAL CONSOLE CASSETTE HOLDER TO REPLACE ROLL-TOP STORAGE?

Hi Everyone,

I've found on German eBay the following W124 cassette holder to replace the central console storage; here's the link:

I can't find anything in the EPC that looks like this for an 036, so I guess it is from a non-036 W124.

Would it fit an 036? Does anyone know if the dimensions of the space the roll-top storage fits into on an 036, is the same as a non-036 car, and thus could it be a plug & play fit?

I have a 500E and a couple of other w124 saloons. I also have a good spare roll top console just exactly like what is in the 500E. I got it from a scrap Diesel w124 saloon that miraculously had that option



So yes- the .036 centre console dimensions are no different from a ‘stock’ w124.
