I just got my 500e back from a paint protection and ceramic wax application. I have been “old school” when it comes to waxes, but decided to take a leap of faith and have it waxed with a ceramic coating. I am amazed how good it looks. Time will tell but so far I am very happy

Looks fantastic! Where did you have paint protection film applied? Make sure the rear of the rocker covers (just ahead of the rear tires) are protected, this area gets absolutely blasted on the 036 due to the shape of the rocker (standard 124 rockers aren't affected).

:alky:

I incorrectly typed paint protection, I should have typed paint correction (wash, clay bar and wet sanding where needed). When I purchased the car 12 years ago it had paint protection film everywhere….front, rocker panels, mirrors, under the door handles and probably a few other spots that I have forgotten. It was beginning to yellow so I took it all off. I got ideas from the internet how to easily remove it, none of them worked. It was a terrible job. The film is probably why the paint looks.
