Always trying to find the best. The bearing looks to be a 30X55X13 mm bearing. This is a 6006-2RS bearing, but in a Timken 9106PP which is on amazon for $24.
Old stock on ebay runs 10-15 for the bearing also.
It's not all that expensive from MB is it? I purchased and installed a new driveshaft center support and bearing on my 560SEC (identical design to the E500E) and it was pretty reasonable via parts.com.
EPC shows 003-981-23-25. It may have been superceded to 008-981-43-25 as the EPC does not always show all supercessions. Regardless, if you order the 003-981-23-25 you would still get the same thing.
Update: The supercession is missing in the EPC for the 124 chassis, but newer chassis (W210, W203, etc) show 003-981-23-25 as replaced by 008-981-43-25.
The new part number doesn't show up in EPC for any older car, and this bearing fits all the way back to the 50s for most models. Same price here at the CC.
