E420 help needed - Alarm goes off while driving

My 1994 E420 alarm goes off while driving. Dealership won’t repair because they can’t get original parts. They say it’s a vacuum leak in one of the doors.

Any suggestions?

Easiest thing to do is disable the alarm. You'll need to un plug the brain box in the passenger footwell, and also short out 2 pins at the connector to bypass the starter lockout.

The alarm system has no vacuum components at all. The door locks run on vacuum, but the lock system is entirely separate from the alarm system. The dealership doesn't know what they are talking about, and won't repair it because they don't know how.

That is not entirely correct if i remember correctly.
The antitheft system is tied into the centrallocking pump.
The late infrared system, was carried over somewhat, from w202,and it is also mainly the same as used in the first gen w210 ,aka mine. I have had the same issue,,where the alarm went off, when driving. And it was a fault in the centrallocking vacum pump.I dont think it is the excactly the same, but i do believe it is very similar.Needs to be verified by wiring diagram for the specific car though.

The antitheft system MAY be tied into the central locking pump. I'd have to double check. However the input switches are totally separate. Alarm switches are on the lock cylinders. Central lock system switches are on the vacuum elements. Different wiring harnesses, different connectors.

USA never received IRCL on the 124, those systems may be completely different. I know nothing about the 124 IRCL setups offered in Europe.

I appreciate all the responses. I am in Richmond, Va. Any recommendations of anyone with knowledge and skills to repair?

Have you checked the switch for the hood in the engine compartment? It's on the left side in front of the fuse box and is bolted to the fender.
