FYI E500 Limited in Oz

Its definitely worth more than that mate!
Just as a ruff guess: If shipping and clearance were about $2000 + Customs ~$2000 + Reg paper work ~$500...It couldn't have cost you $3500 dollars..for me its a lose :(

If you look at the pics, you'll see the Limited interior is missing... that will hurt the value a bit. It has a standard black 500E interior now.

Maybe .036 values are higher in Oz compared to Dubai? I'd expect the car would be high teens (maybe) if it were in the USA, due to the miles/kms, and interior. Looks sharp with the 009 paint and Evo wheels though!

:deniro:

Oh, Wasn't that car in Kuwait or something ?

Would have been better to sell at any price in Dubai than go through the whole import process.

Sorry for bringing back an older post, but is it really true that this is the only E500E in Oz?

-edit- I should add that LHD vehicles more than 15yrs old can be imported into Oz...

That application is the one I read a few days ago - so much paperwork to import a vehicle! I couldn't import my 500E as I hadn't owned it for twelve months, but I do have a classic car that I'd quite like to import. It's about as far from a 500 as you can get, but thankfully it's RHD!

I drooled over this car when I saw it for sale but unfortunately I had to make a sensible decision when buying a car for wifey,
the high miles scared her off,
we got an 04 e46 m sport wagon for her with super low kms for simular money,
fudgitive is correct about the import laws here, I have imported a few older cars myself,
I have never heard of any other road reg 500e's in OZ other than this one too,
my only option is prob to find a damaged cheap 500 and cut it in half and do a swap into my TE,
one day maybe, toooo many projects
