Engine Oil Vacuum Extractor Shootout with Kent Bergsma

I've used a TopSider brand extractor for about 15 years now. It works well, has been durable, reliable and holds 10 quarts.

I have used the Griot's Garage "Tall" extractor for 10+ years and have never had a problem with it, whatsoever. It's worked very well for me.

BTW I honestly do try to keep Kent Bergsma stuff off this site, mainly because I am not even sure that he knows what a 500E / E500 actually IS. So just a very slight word of warning.
I think this site provides a lot more value-add to the 500E owners than Kent does....and that includes tools & shop equipment too.

Cheers,
Gerry

"Wide 12 feet diameter stance provides a stable base"

Sounds like it would hold more than 10 quarts. Not sure I have the garage space for that... :p
Sounds like the aircraft (Boeing 747) version!!

But it's only 2.4mm tall so you can drive over it. In fact, you can park on it so it doesn't take any space at all. ;-)

Seriously? Wow... I thought they'd use more. How about the hydraulic systems?

:jelmerian:

That's a different story. Hydraulic systems 1 and 4 take 52 gallons each. Systems 2 and 3 take 36 gallons each.
