I have for sale an EZL from a US-spec 1992 400E, the desirable Siemens part, 013 545 53 32.

Complete and even includes the factory paste and uber-rare factory wrap to cover the paste, complete !! This wrap conducts more than 200% of the EZL heat to the fender than typical generic Saran and clear-cling film wraps.

$60 postpaid in the US; $8.00 of this is US Priority Mail postage. Happy to ship overseas at shipping cost (typically would be around $25-30 for Europe).

No, it is not for that purpose. That plastic piece is just a precut protection of the thermal paste added on a factory OE EZL. The reason for its special material/consistency is that it doesn't stick to the thermal paste when it is taken off. It can be reused if someone like to prepare a spare ready to go EZL by applying the thermal paste and add that precut film for protection during storage of the EZL.

It has been discussed before:
And BTW - I don't profess being an expert within thermodynamics, though I am familiar with it, but the fact is available everywhere on the internet. Any plastic based material is way down on the list over thermal conductivity:

Arnt ....my statement was completely a joke, not meant to be taken seriously. I'm sorry that I didn't make it more clearly apparent to be a joke.

It's a bit like the thing where E500E owners who have gray switches installed in their doors and trunk get many more beautiful females than non-gray switch owners.
