Ok - lets imagine you had to pick an undercover police car to chase the fast and furious baddies that can‘t shift and have neon lights in the next movie 190E 2.5-16 or 500E?

Those vehicles have their own forum at 190Revolution.net, last time I checked.

The handling it much better on a 16valve.
Engine are not to fast, but it's easyer to tune the engine than remove weight and size.

I'll take the 500E in all cases. I think IF there's a handling difference on the 190E, it's not enough to overcome everything else (strength, speed, durability). And I'm frankly not sold on the handling difference.

The 190E Cossie certainly feels a quicker car off the mark and more alive... The 500E definitely has the top end though..

So an inner city chase, id probably say 190E.
For a highway type pursuit the 500E.

I would have offered the same solution as Jaymanek. I haven't driven a 190 Cossie, but would have assumed that the 190 would offer greater agility in the confines of an inner city environment - and thus have an advantage over the E500E, as the E500E has never (as far as I know) been recognised as a "sportster", but rather as a long distance tourer?

However, if there are any prizes for the answer, maybe the clue is in the question - which states "fast and furious". That definitely sounds more E500E than 190!

"Wasn´t that a slowest sport saloon on the market?" Top Gear on 2,3-16V. Should i say more...

well...2.3-16 is slower than the 2-5-16 anyways :)
But a race around town...the 16v would crush the 500e in terms of agility and handling,of course on a high way speed pursuit...it would be the other way around ,,or maybe not...the 16 valvers are no slouches even though they have alot less horspower

I mean 2.5, sorry...
Well, the only car which can escape 500E in the city is Honda Civic CRX Vtec. 190 has no chance, we try many times :D:D:D

depends on the size of the city then ? :)

How is about Lübeck? Older than 850 years, you can imagine :D
500E is faster as 129 and 140 500, and much fast than any 201, exept Evo and 3.2. And even against those two chances are high :D

PS Short drive through Lübeck i´ve posted already...

Already been done. Lest we forget, the producers of the predecessor to Fast & Furious, Taxi (1998), chose the 500E (however as the choice ride of the baddies).

Motorway:

...and I can attest to the 500E's legitimacy from personal experience. 9 years ago almost to this day, I had a high speed cat & mouse shoot-out with a fast & furious Lamborghini on the Atlanta interstate while on my way home from Texas after buying my 500E.

The 500E very respectfully held its own with the Lambo under those driving conditions.

:wow:Holy sh*t, my heat beat is elevated just reminiscing that exchange.

In Ronin 500E from Taxi was pulling De Niro´s Peugeot :D:D:D

There is not a big difference between 2.3-16 and 2.5-16 if the cars are ok, not beaten up. I have driven those cars, and 500e, and 500 need a lot more space to work well.

Between a mentioned 2.3-16 US SPEC car and a 2.5-16 euro spec car..there is quite a difference in the horsepower. But of course..its not like you break your neck from the acceleration in a 2.5.16 versus a 2.3-16.....but still...quite a difference.

170hp 2.3 and a 195hp 2.5 do have a bit difference. But didn't that 2.3 have lower gear in the diff? Anyway, in a city they all have more handling, response and lower weight to wrestling with.

167hp to be exact. :) the 2.3 15 had 3.07 ratio..so more "top speed".

but yeah..anyways...definetly more handling in the 190e 16 valve cars..than the 500e"s...much more nimble car...obviously...beeing ALOT lighter.
