FOR SALE FS: 1993 500E 6.0L AMG, Blue, 575 Tkm, €89k

Re: 7/93 E 60 575 Tkm for 89.000 Euro

These cars can run forever! 575TKM and still looks that good.

Re: 7/93 E 60 575 Tkm for 89.000 Euro

Nautik Blue with no badges. Nice. Is it at all possible, now that the car is up into taxi cab territory mileage anyway, that it will only increase in value as it proves through constant use what a quality piece it really is?

They have it advertised as an E60, but as pre-facelift, the car is technically a 500E 6.0L. Most likely a post-sale conversion by AMG, although with a build date of 7/93, it would be very interesting to see the datacard and check for code 957. Don't think I've seen any code 957 on a pre-facelift car...?

:scratchchin:

Most probably a later conversion as with all pre-facelift examples we have seen, at least an AMG Germany not "AMG Japan" car.
Could this be the AMG with the highest mileage in the world? that would definitely interest AMG HQ.

Not really... it´s a so called 1,5 Facelift... if you look carefully at mirrors adjustment, steering wheel and a key you will notice this is already a Facelift inside.

+1 on that.
The drivers side mirror is rarely upgraded to electric when cars are facelifted. But the most definite is the IR remote locking, which I've never seen on any facelift upgrades to date. Both upgrades requires a lot of work replacing the wiring, so I guess that is the reason it's never done.

And those are Japanese imports with not much documentation and have lots of aftermarket stuff done.. Current highest number we have is 189,000Euro for The German E60 LTD with ~74TKM and partial respray..... Unless you have heard about another car Bing ? ; )

Why? If you are able to put this kind of money on the table you´ll know. If not- it is not worth asking.

Because I would like to see one actually sold otherwise those prices are out of moon. €180K euros gets you some amazing iconic cars not that E60 is not but come on

"Facelift" by definition is E500... hood/trunk (bonnet/boot) along with headlights, etc.

Sorry I should have been more clear. Like most here, I don't believe that the recent asking prices of 100k+ mark on some E60s and ones with galactic miles are realistic. In fact, like you say, they're out of moon and I don't think anyone here would pay this. I certainly wouldn't! Establishing how much they actually sell for is a bit difficult of course, unless they show up on this board after and the new owner decides to reveal what they paid for.

However, there are collectors and people with more money than sense that would pay near this mark or even full. I mean how much discount do you think MB would have given to the buyer of that 189k asking that was sold?? Maybe 10% ? And I can tell you Bodo's 6.5 went for twice the amount of what's been floating around on the net!

And sadly a lot of sellers in Europe are dreaming of the same.

Dear bing, is there an exact number for that? PM if you like.

As for the E60s, I know that for the TOP cars (documented, Euro cars) my friend Bernhard (an authority in this matter) actually has a waiting list for these cars with a fixed price! You have seen one example in the 2014 event. A car would come on the market and have 5-6 clients on the waiting list with zero questions about the price.

Jelmer had similar 1,5 Facelift.
The 1.5 interior updates are more of a tummy tuck than a facelift. If you can't see the changes from outside, it ain't a facelift.

For North American models, the interior updates came either in late 1992 US model year (early 1992 calendar year), or with 1993 US model year (late 1992 calendar year). This was a full year before the E500 facelift (body changes).

It is, dear )))
All new technik. Only body was old.

LOL. Maybe it's a Euro thing, but on this side of the pond, the term "facelift" applies to the hood+trunk updates along with the name change from 400E/500E to E420/E500. Anything else is just mid-production updates.
