Fuel Line from tank to fuel pump

Does anyone know the part number and if anyone is making this hose for 1993 400E? Mine has a small nick in it and while I am under the rear doing the suspension and CV boots I would like to replace it.

Still available new... see post #18 here. Read that entire thread and replace any of the fuel hoses that are not new or recent.

Thanks I found that part number, but every site said it didn't fit or might fit. They showed it fitting diesel cars so wasn't sure. I have already replaced the other hoses I just didn't see the nick in this one as it was high up and the hose looked fine.
 
I might take you up on that I live in McDonough and I need to visit an old friend who lives at Chesatee Golf Club near Cumming.
 
Just for information. I'm 90% sure that MB raised the price in Europe for the fuel hose going form the fuel tank to the pump from $145 to around $400, so grab it for less while you can. I will check this info at the dealer next time I will be there to be 100% sure.

If at one point it really costs 400$ (217€ is a number already), can't you just cut out the old fitting, get a quality hose in the right size by the meter and clamp the old fitting to the new hose?

This is exactly what I did on my car. It's a tight fit on V8 chassis, but doable.

Bulk hose won't be molded, and if you try to bend it around obstructions, the flow may be affected. The factory molded hose is definitely better, at least if the price is reasonable.

€200 is bad, €400 is insane.

I've seen where one can heat these hoses and form bends quite easily. I believe a spring was used inside temporarily to preserve inside OD. I have not tried it.

I've never heard of this before. If true - that is fantastic news. I wonder if your local hydraulic shop can not only replace the hose, but also form it to match the original!

I saw this on U tube. The trick is to use just enough heat, not too much.

I'm on my way to my local hose shop for PS hoses for a different car within a week. I'll inquire.
 
If you're using standard hose, just a reminder on the reports of issues with Cohline fuel hoses. 2122 if I remember correctly. -Cracking and rapid disintegration. Not sure this is pertinent to this application, but heads up anyway.
 
Always think safety when working around fuel guys. Unhook battery and keep fire extinguisher handy. Also best to work outside if you can. Safety first:)
Always a good reminder.

I had to empty about 8 or 9 gallons of fuel to service this hose and strainer. The car as well as my home air handler are in the garage. Door open and two extinguishers on hand. Each can went directly out of the garage. I then let things sit for 24hrs. before wrenching.
